The Vivo V3 runs Android 5.1 and is powered by a 2550mAh non removable battery. It measures 143.60 x 71.00 x 7.50 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 138.00 grams. The Vivo V3 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.

Design 9/10: The Vivo V3 is quite a good looking device with a sleek metal body and curved edges. The front is covered with a curvy 2.5D glass. The overall build quality is excellent and on par with what you should be expecting from a sub-Rs 20,000 smartphone.

Display 7/10 : The Vivo V3 flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 294ppi.The display is bright, with great color reproduction, and more importantly, it is quite clear even when viewed under harsh sunlight. Bit disppointing since it is not providing Full HD, whereas nowadays a 10,000 phone is providing Full HD.

Performance 9/10: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 octa-core chipset paired with an Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The combination is good enough to ensure a smooth performance even with multiple apps running in the background.

Storage 8/10: It comes with 32GB of built-in storage of which around 22GB is available out-of-the-box. You can however use a microSD card to expand the storage up to 128GB.

Camera 8/10: In the photography department, the Vivo V3 is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera up front. The photos clicked with the rear camera were fairly bright with excellent levels of details. In ideal lighting conditions the camera was able to capture some stunning photos. Even indoors under ambient lighting conditions, the camera was able to capture good photos without a lot of noise. The 8-megapixel front-facing camera is capable of clicking some good selfies.

Battery 8/10 : Making sure everything ticks is a 2,550mAh battery, which during our usage was able to easily survive the day on a single charge.

Overall 8/10: Pros include a build quality, good display (despite being HD only), overall smooth performance, the cameras, fingerprint scanner, and battery life. As for cons, we would have loved the display to be 1080p just to tick the box and a better set of speakers, especially since Vivo is focusing on the audio bit so much. Also the price should have been in the range of 12,000 to 13,000 to compete in the current market.

Good phone to buy : Handy, good looking, premium and fast.
